Start Here: Three Steps
Following these steps in order will position you well with your insurance carrier and help get your system restored as efficiently as possible.
Contact Your Insurance Carrier
Begin the claim process for both roof damage and solar damage. Let your carrier know the property contains a photovoltaic system — panel damage may extend beyond what is immediately visible, including micro-fractures that affect long-term performance.
Use the Rough Pricing Calculator
Use the calculator below to develop a practical starting point for your conversation with your insurance adjuster. It is intended as an estimate only, not a final proposal.
Schedule an On-Site Assessment
After an onsite review by our team, we can provide a detailed pricing report that reflects roof condition, system design, equipment availability, and project complexity.
Important: Solar Panel Damage
Understanding how hail affects solar panels — including damage that isn't immediately visible — is critical to protecting your investment and safety.
⚠ Complete System Replacement Recommendation
If a solar panel shows visible hail damage, we recommend replacement of the complete panel system rather than only the obviously broken modules, and we will support that position as you work through your insurance claim.
Adjacent panels may have sustained hidden impact damage — including micro-fractures within the cells or laminate. These fractures are not always immediately visible, but they can affect long-term performance, accelerate degradation, and raise safety concerns over time.
In some cases, a damaged solar panel may no longer be manufactured or available. This is common in systems that are several years old, as panel sizes and electrical characteristics have evolved. When a direct replacement isn't available, we may relocate an existing panel within the array and redesign the system — resulting in a small reduction in overall size and production.
