These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of 10DLC (10-Digit Long Code) messaging services provided by Ethos Green Power Cooperative (“Ethos,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By opting into our SMS messaging program, you agree to these Terms.

1. Message Program Description

Ethos Green Power Cooperative may send text messages to communicate with customers and interested parties regarding:

  • Appointment reminders and scheduling
  • Project updates and notifications
  • Service and maintenance alerts
  • Educational resources and event invitations
  • Promotional or marketing content
  • Requests for feedback or surveys

Message frequency may vary depending on your interaction with Ethos.

2. User Opt-In

By providing your phone number and affirmatively opting into our SMS program—whether via web form, text message, in-person request, or other approved method—you consent to receive text messages from Ethos. Message frequency varies per user. Standard message and data rates may apply.

Opt-in methods include (but are not limited to):

  • Checking a box on a form that includes language about SMS communication
  • Sending a keyword (e.g., “ETHOS”) to a dedicated number
  • Verbally requesting to receive text communications

3. User Opt-Out

You may opt out of receiving messages at any time by replying:

  • “STOP” to cancel
  • “HELP” for help

After you send “STOP,” you will receive a final confirmation message and will no longer receive SMS messages from us unless you opt back in.

4. Fees

Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan. Ethos is not responsible for any charges you may incur for sending or receiving text messages.

5. Supported Carriers

Our 10DLC program is supported by most major U.S. wireless carriers. However, message delivery is subject to carrier availability and may occasionally be delayed or blocked due to third-party issues beyond our control.

6. Privacy

We value your privacy. No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

7. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your state) to use this service. By opting in, you confirm that you are the subscriber of the mobile number provided or have the subscriber’s permission.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date above. Your continued participation in the SMS program constitutes your acceptance of those changes.

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Messages may not be delivered due to various reasons, including network issues, device compatibility, or carrier limitations. Ethos is not liable for delays or failures in message delivery.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all liability arising from your use of or inability to use our SMS services.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin without regard to conflict of law principles.
